Whether you are Career Technical, ESL Transitions, High School or Recent High School Graduate are you ready to launch your next step in college or career? This short term summer offering is designed to help you brush up and develop skills that will provide you with the foundations for success in your next successful educational or job-related journey!

Business 100 – Work Readiness (1.5 Units) – Instructors Adrienne Cary and Loretta Garcia

This course covers the process of assessing the job market and completing a resume and application. Topics include how to be successful on the job and to gain satisfaction and rewards from work. The skills needed in the workplace are emphasized along with the social and communication skills, personal characteristics and habits, and expectations of the employer.
Outcomes – Students will:
• Identify the role and responsibilities of the working professional
• Develop and prepare a resume and letter of application; develop interview skills
• Demonstrate effective communication techniques
• Identify traits of an ethical employee
• Develop and use proper telephone techniques
• Establish effective time management techniques

New Students- Friday, July 31st at 10:00 am or 1:00 pm

Returning Students- Monday, August 3rd at 10:00 am or 1:00 pm



GED Prep Program:

New Students- Tuesday, August 4th at 10:00 am or 1:00 pm

Returning Students- Wednesday, August 5th at 10:00 am or 1:00 pm

 

Can’t decide between High School Diploma and GED/HiSET Test Prep? Please obtain a copy of your transcript and attend the High School Diploma registration. Once your transcript has been evaluated you can switch to the GED Prep program if needed.
