Pharmacy Technician

Earn your certificate in as little as 5 months and qualify for an entry-level position in a retail or hospital pharmacy.

As a Pharmacy Technician you will help the pharmacist prepare and mix prescriptions, maintain patient records, refer patients to the pharmacist for counseling, and assist with inventory control, payment, collection, purchasing and billing. This program includes 182 hours of classroom instruction and a 120-hour clinical pharmacy externship. The program will prepare you to take the Exam for Certified Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) from the National Healthcare Association (NHA). This program prepares students for state registration with the California Board of Pharmacy

  
Medical Assistant, Front and Back Office

Earn your certificate in as little as 5 months and qualify for an entry-level position in a doctor’s office or medical clinic.

 As a Medical Assistant, you will be trained to help physicians care for patients, including how to take vital signs, perform basic lab tests and administer medications in a doctor’s office or clinic. The program includes 280 hours of classroom instruction and a 180-hour medical office externship. The program will prepare you to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam from the National Healthcare Association (NHA)and/or the California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants.

  Phlebotomy Technician

 Earn your certificate in as little as 3 months and qualify for an entry-level position in a laboratory setting.

As a Phlebotomy Technician you will be trained to draw blood samples from patients in a clinical laboratory or public health setting. Over the course of the program, you will gain exposure to on-the-job duties that include drawing blood samples from patients, producing quality laboratory results, gaining the trust and confidence of patients, and much more. The program includes 64 hours of classroom instruction and a 40 to 100 hour clinical phlebotomy externship,which will vary by externship site. The program will prepare you to take the Exam for Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) from the National Healthcare Association (NHA).
