In March 2013, Suisun Valley School applied to Target for a grant to help fund our Fine Arts Program. In August,
we found out that we won the grant! This $2000 Arts, Culture and Design in Schools Target Grant will help
purchase art supplies and fund curriculum for the 2013-2014 school year. We are very grateful to Target for
this generous gift! THANK YOU TARGET!

Hello Suisun Dragons! We had an amazing first week and we are off to a great start. Please be patient when picking up your child after school. Please remember when picking up and dropping off your child that Lambert Rd. is a one way street. During after school pick up Lambert has two lanes. One for parents who are turning left and one for turning right. This Friday we will be selling It’s It’s for $2.00 after school to help raise money for our Agriculture and Art program. We look forward to seeing you at our first Parent Club meeting on August 26 at 8:30am in room 12. Have a great evening

Hello Suisun Dragons! Welcome back to a new school year and site.  I hope everyone enjoyed their summer break and ready to start school. I will have a short orientation for students and parents who are new to Suisun Valley on August 12th at 2:00 in the multi. Calling all Student Council members from last year, grades 3rd – 7th grade.  I would like to meet with you on the first day of school at 8:00am.  You (Student Council) will be in charge in guiding new students and parents on campus.  We look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday at 8:25. I will be holding my first principal coffee chat on August 13th in the multi-purpose room at 8:25. Have a great evening.

Hello Suisun Dragons! I would like to provide you with an update on our field. We are still trying to find a source for enough soil. We found one locally in December that passed environmentally. Unfortunately, the soil had so much clay included in it that we ended up rejecting it. The piles that are out there are from that source. We were informed that a large amount of soil amendments still would not be conducive  to growing grass. The City of Fairfield has been searching for us as well as the District. If you have any other questions or concerns please contact me at the school at 421-4338 or by email. Thank you and have a good evening.

Please keep track of lunch charges on your child’s account. If you are unsure of the balance on your child’s card please contact Cheryl Brown here in our cafeteria. Have a great evening and see you tomorrow!

I am so excited to let you know that our Academic Performance Index (API) for 2012 is 949!! We went up 34 points from 2011!! I am so proud of our staff and students!!  ---Principal Wright
