2017-18 School Year:
Children must turn 5 by or on September 1, 2017 to be enrolled into
KINDERGARTEN for the 2017-18 school year.
Children who turn 5 between Sep 2 - Dec 2, 2017,
are eligible to be placed into “TK” Transitional Kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year.
They will then transition to Kindergarten in the following 2018-19 school year.
NEW CHANGE: The FSUSD Governing Board has granted TK enrollment for younger students who turn 5 between 12/3/17 and the last day of the 2017-18 school year. However, this enrollment will be on an as-space-is-available basis in order of the month they turn 5. These “ETK” (Early TK) eligible students are four year olds turning five between 12/3/17 and 6/9/18.
ETK qualified children will be added to a TK Waiting List for future placement possibility after school starts. The school district will notify parents from the waiting list as spaces become available and after all of the the state qualified TK students with birth dates between 9/2 - 12/2 have been registered.
