Mr. Dennis Foster came to Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District with fifteen years of educational experience at the Secondary level.
Mr. Foster began his teaching career within the Natomas Unified School District, serving 11 years at Natomas High School as a Social Science instructor and Athletic Director. Mr. Foster's Social Science experience included teaching within the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program and in providing academic instruction in Advanced Placement curriculum.
Mr. Foster then joined the Davis Joint Unified School District in July of 2010, where he has served as the Athletic Director for the Davis Senior High School. During that time he worked to build relationships with his Davis colleagues, league colleagues, and to build academic opportunities that were aligned with the growth and positive development of academic success for Davis students. He continued to broaden his administrative skills, and sought out opportunities to promote within FSUSD.
Mr. Foster's extensive experience as an Athletic Director, and his passion to become an Instructional Leader was seen as a positive enhancement to the Administrative Team at Fairfield High School when he was hired by FSUSD as an Assistant Principal of Fairfield High School in August of 2014. This last year he has served as an Assistant Principal at Rodriguez High School, where he has been working closely to further build opportunities for students on that campus. He has continued to fully participate in our administrator professional development and is seen as being a positive force within this group.
Mr. Foster is eager to transition to the Principal position of the Matt Garcia Career and College Academy, where he believes he can expand upon the growing opportunities for students of the school.
We congratulate Mr. Foster on his appointment as the new Principal at Matt Garcia Career and College Academy.
