The Fairfield-Suisun USD Induction Program provides job embedded professional development for new teachers who hold a Preliminary teaching credential. Full-time release mentors, known as Consulting Teachers (CTs) provide thirty hours of one-to-one support for first and second year teachers, seminars, and other professional development opportunities.
Peer Assistance and Review (PAR)
Fairfield-Suisun USD Consulting Teachers (CTs) support veteran teachers in refining their teaching practices. See Article 10 of the F-SUTA contract for additional information.
The Fairfield-Suisun USD participates in the CA Instructional Time and Staff Development Reform Program (Buy Back). For the 2018-2019 school year, all teachers (including those with less than 100% teaching assignments) are contractually allowed to earn up to two days (13 hours) of per diem pay for attending approved professional development.
