Fairview Elementary School830 First StreetFairfield, CA 94533Aging Building Replacement
In the summer of 2005, two aging and unsafe trailers were demolished at Fairview and replaced with two new permanent buildings. The facilities house a District Child Development Center that provides after-school care and preschool programs for students.
The new buildings are part of the Emily series by ATI Architects, identical to the new facilities that have been added as part of Measure C to Sheldon, Tolenas, Anna Kyle and other schools in the District. The new classrooms have built-in restrooms, sinks, and teacher preparation rooms. Each building has skylights for natural lighting, built-in data and cable TV outlets and lots of instructional space. The District is very excited about the new facilities as they are a tremendous improvement over the older trailers.
Construction was completed in the Fall of 2005. ATI Architects of Danville was the designer. Facility Services of Napa provided construction management. Construction was performed by Swank of Vacaville.
