Hello, my name is David Knott. I am the Community Liaison with a strong background in counseling, youth and family services, and assistance mentoring. On behalf of Crystal Middle School, I work in collaboration with a consortium of youth and family public benefit organization directly contributing to the healthy and sustainable development of youth and families. I oversee a network of more than 300 public benefit organizations that include food banks, clothing closets, homeless shelters, and jobs programs.
Since 1990, I’ve met weekly developing youth clubs, music and performing art events, youth service organizations, coaching and managing youth sports activities and tournaments with some being pathways to colleges. My objective is servant leadership and being a person who has the natural desire to serve first, making certain that Crystal Middle School students and families highest priority needs are being served. My background includes more than 20 years as a community trustee; 17 years as an Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor (EEOC) and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Cares Counselor. My educational experience includes certificated counselor's training at the Federal Government’s Office of Personnel Management, Regional Training Center, San Francisco, California. I hold a BA Degree in Management from Saint Mary’s College of California, an AA Degree in Management and Supervision and an AA Degree in Computer Information Systems from Laney College, Oakland California. I’m also a former Contracting Officer and Vietnam Era veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force.
