The Fairfield High School College and Career Center is a one-stop resource where FHS and Sem Yeto students can access information and resources on how to pursue their dreams; whether that be to attend college or a university, enroll in technical school, enlist in the armed forces and serve our country, or start an apprenticeship to learn a trade. All are welcome in for resume assistance and job/scholarship application help, and a snack! College club meetings Thursday at lunch

The College and Career Center is committed to providing a variety of helpful tools to promote student growth and development, including but not limited to:

    • Understanding the college admission process and timeline for all colleges and universities
    • Financial Aid and Scholarship application information (FAFSA, Cal Grant, Assist-A-Grad)
    • Employment assistance (including resume + cover letter editing)
    • Local volunteer opportunities in Solano County
    • Career trajectory planning: Mapping out how to get where (ex: How can I become a nurse?)

Students, if you would like information from specific schools or are want to pursue a specific major or field of study after high school, please stop by the College & Career Center and let me know. I will gladly call and e-mail said school for you and ask said institutions to send me info on whatever you are curious about. For example:

    • "I am interested in the undergrad psychology program at Sonoma State and would like eventually become a Psychiatrist. What is the educational path for that?"
    • "I am interested in enlisting in the Marine Corps after high school to become a information system specialist. Can you help me with that?"
    • "I am interested in Baylor University, as well as any other private schools with good biology programs. Can you please get me more info on that?"
    • "I would like to job shadow a nurse for a day to see what a typical day on the job is like. Can you help me with that?"
