We have so much to be proud of at Fairfield High School. Our Scarlet Brigade Band and Pageantry Ensemble is second to none. Our JROTC program, STEM pathways, AVID program, and choir and theater programs have also earned recognition for producing outstanding results.
We are expanding our elective offerings, providing students with opportunities to study subjects not offered by many other high schools, including German, Auto Shop, Culinary Arts, Advanced Multimedia, Culinary Math, AP Spanish Literature, Fashion Design, Advanced Ceramics, and many others. We also have a wide variety of extracurricular options. In addition to many different sports and clubs, students can join programs such as Safe School Ambassadors, Key Club, and other groups focused on improving conditions for others.
Visiting our campus you will see many recent updates by our district's phenomenal maintenance team. The quad, parking lots, and walkways were all repaved this summer. Additionally, the gym received new scoreboards and new paint. Many classrooms were spruced up and outfitted with Apple TVs and new furniture. And work was recently completed on a third campus mural by our fantastic art students.
As we enter the 2018-2019 school year, I challenge parents and community partners to strengthen your bond with Fairfield High; I challenge students to get more involved, explore new opportunities, and push yourselves to achieve outstanding results; and I challenge staff to never relent in your innovation and creativity in lesson design, to never allow any student in your care to be content with low expectations, and to retain the gold medal in the Almost Anything Goes staff-versus-students events!
It's a great time to be a Falcon!
