Dr. Nikki Pitcher, Principal

  • Dr. Pitcher, Principal Dr. Nicole Pitcher comes to the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) with over ten (10) years of secondary teaching experience, and eight years of secondary school site administration experience. She currently serves at the Assistant Principal at San Rafael High School (SRHS) where she oversees and supports the Special Education, PE, Science, Library, College and Career Center, and Visual/Performing Arts departments. During her time at SRHS she co-wrote both the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and the 2018 WASC report.

    Prior to her employment with SRHS, Dr. Pitcher functioned as an effective Life Science/Biology Teacher who taught both middle and high school students, and a middle school Vice Principal. She stated in her introduction letter that year after year she has received positive feedback in regard to her work, work ethic, and her ability to build positive relationships. She stated that she would love to replicate the same success in FSUSD.

    Director of Secondary Education for San Rafael City Schools, Mr. Kevin Kerr, included in Dr. Pitcher’s letter of recommendation:

    “What I appreciate most about Nikki is her ability to identify a challenge and then work collaboratively with her community to realize a solution that is in the best interest of students. She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to understanding the unique needs of our most vulnerable students and enthusiastically shares her expertise with her colleagues and school community. Nikki is a valued colleague and an innovative instructional leader. I fully recommend her for any position she may be considering."

    Dr. Pitcher received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from California State University, Sacramento, as well as her Master of Arts Degree in Cross Cultural Teaching from National University. Dr. Pitcher holds a Clear Single Subject Teaching Credential in Biology, as well as an Administrative Services Credential from California State University, Sacramento. Last but certainly not least, Dr. Pitcher holds her Educational Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from California State University, East Bay.
