Ms. Rebecca Dinwiddie, Principal

  • Rebecca Dinwiddie, B. Gale Wilson Principal Ms. Rebecca Dinwiddie joined the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District in July of 2005.  She was hired to teach a First-Second Grade combination class at Oakbrook Elementary.  In August of 2006, she became part of the David A. Weir Elementary team, and supported the educational renascence of the school.

    Ms. Dinwiddie has been recognized as an exceptional teacher, who began to hone her leadership skills through a variety of means while at David A. Weir.  She supported her principal in providing professional development to staff, serving as a program manager, and serving on the site leadership team. Ms. Dinwiddie transitioned to the Assistant Principal position at Nelda Mundy Elementary in December of 2014, where she continued her collaboration with teachers, parents, and students for the betterment of the educational community of the school. 

    In the fall of 2016, Ms. Dinwiddie became the Assistant Principal of B. Gale Wilson (BGW) School. Ms. Dinwiddie is well respected in the District by teachers and administrators; and in her present capacity she has continued to build strong relationships with her students, their parents, and the community of B. Gale Wilson School.  She has completed both her Administrative Services Credential Program and her Masters in Educational Leadership in May of 2016 from Sonoma State University.  

    Ms. Dinwiddie has a passion for working with children, a superb knowledge base in the areas of Common Core instruction, targets engagement strategies as the key to connecting to students, and has been able to build positive instructional practices that are innovative, technology supported, and increase the academic levels of our students.

    We believe that these attributes, characteristics, and passion to serve the students of our communities will serve Ms. Dinwiddie well in the position of Principal for B. Gale Wilson School. We welcome Ms. Dinwiddie to this new role and congratulate her on this promotion.
