Meet your Assistant Principal
Mr. Arron DeGracia is returning to the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District as an employee after having received his education from our Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District system from the time he entered Kindergarten at Anna Kyle Elementary up to his graduation from Armijo High School
Arron has been developing his professional skills as an educator, collaborator, and as an educational leader during his education and work experience, and is more than thrilled to be able to return to his roots and receive the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at his former High School.
Arron’s previous work experience is as follows:
- Substitute Teacher with Chico Unified School District (while attending Cal State Chico)
- Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
- Physical Education Teacher with Oroville Union High School District
- Athletic Director and Teacher at Paradise High School, part of the Paradise Union School District
After attending two years at Solano Community College, where Arron obtained his AA Degree in Liberal Studies, he transferred to Cal State University Chico in pursuit of his Bachelor’s Degree. Arron obtained his Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration in May of 2005, and continued his studies at the University, obtaining his Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education in 2008.
Additionally, Mr. DeGracia also holds an Education Specialist Teaching Credential in Adapted Physical Education; a Master of Arts Degree in Kinesiology; and he holds an Administrative Services Credential. All graduate level degrees were earned through Cal State University, Chico.
During the application and interview process Arron related his academic history with the District, and indicated a strong desire to return to the District to be able to connect with students in the community where he was raised and grew up and support the families of FSUSD. He is described to have a great positive energy about him, enthusiasm, drive, and a passion for education and service. He has been described to have a steadfast commitment to developing himself as a leader, unwavering dedication, and to be extremely resourceful with working with youth and colleagues. Arron believes that in working with education, you can have a direct impact in shaping the world, nation, state, county and community through each student that you work with. This ignites his passion to come to work each and every day.
