Meet your Principal
Principal, Robin Stewart
Mrs. Stewart was born in Fairfield, attended Elementary, Middle and High School in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District and raised her family in the area. Her first teaching position was at E Ruth Sheldon Elementary School (now Sheldon Academy)in 1999. She has taught 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. She taught at Sheldon for 7 years and at Rolling Hills Elementary for 2 years. She has been the Assistant Principal of Suisun Elementary and was formerly the principal of Rolling Hills.
Sheldon is definitely home to Mrs. Stewart. Her sister, Colleen attended Sheldon and her mother, Gloria Crowell worked as a bilingual paraprofessional. Her father, Connie Crowell was a dedicated parent volunteer. Her three sons, Jeff, Mark and Joseph attended Sheldon as well. She was very happy to return to Sheldon in 2014, and has been the principal since that time.
As a third generation member of the Fairfield community, the value of giving back, improving our city and providing our students with the very best that education can offer is of great importance to her. She is committed to creating and sustaining a school in which students can experience innovation, social and emotional development, excellence in academics and a kind, respectful, peaceful and safe environment.
Mrs. Stewart's favorite quote is "Be the change you wish to see in the world." ~ Mahatma Gandhi This is the basis for the school's theme and compact.
