Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Vickie Johnson, Assistant Principal
Hello fabulous Dover Academy students and families,
My name is Vickie Johnson and I am very excited to be the Assistant Principal for Dover Academy for International Studies. I am passionate about education and I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to feel loved, well-educated and happy in our school. We have an excellent staff dedicated to this philosophy and I feel extremely fortunate to call Dover my home.
Prior to coming to Dover, I was a Teacher of Academic Support at Suisun Elementary. This role afforded me the opportunity to support teachers, students and families directly. In addition, I was a classroom teacher for eight years. I have taught a multitude of grades but kindergarten was where my heart laid for many years.
My core values as an administrator mirror my core values in my own home. I believe in the importance of building relationships. This includes students, staff and families. We all have the need to feel connected. I also believe that all means all. Every student who enter the doors of Dover will be highly educated, supported, nurtured, and safe. I also believe in the power of kindness. My philosophy with regards to kindness is to throw kindness around like confetti! Sprinkle it everywhere. Kindness matters. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, hiking, traveling, and visiting Disneyland.
I look forward to an amazing year at Dover! We will continue to demonstrate Bulldog Pride and showcase how awesome we truly are. Please feel free to contact me at 707-435-3794 or you can reach me by email at email@example.com.
