About Crystal Middle School
-
According to the Suisun City Historical Society, the land where Crystal Middle School resides today has continuously been home to schools for teaching Suisun City’s children since 1869. The earliest of these was one of California’s earliest high schools. After the opening of Armijo High School in Fairfield in 1915, the property at 400 Whispering Bay was home to a variety of schools, including Crescent Elementary, until it was finally modernized in to Crystal Middle School in 2010.
Crystal's namesake was Mr. George W. Crystal, who was born in 1846 and lived in the Vacaville area for 21 years. During this time he was in the merchandising business, and also manager of a Vacaville bank. His son later went on to become a financial secretary in the United States Senate.
Crystal has a proud history and a promising future.
