Our Mission and Vision

Mission: We empower Fairfield High School students to become curious, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners by providing inclusive access to information, fostering digital and research skills, and supporting their social and emotional growth and well-being.

Vision: We envision the Fairfield High School Library as a dynamic, student-centered learning hub—flexible, inclusive, and adaptable to the evolving needs of our community. We aim to cultivate creativity, connection, and innovation, preparing students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

About Us

The Fairfield High School Library provides a safe, welcoming space with games, crafts, and other fun activities.
The library teaches key learning skills, providing tech-based instruction in: citations, finding information, using information, evaluating information, and more. We also provide flexible space for students to work on mixed media projects, to self-regulate their emotions, to gather socially, and to thrive.

The state of California gave some of their ESSER funds to update public K-12 school libraries, and FSUSD was fortunate to receive some of that help! The Fairfield High School Library book collection was nearly tripled, as well as bringing resource materials up-to-date, and in line with modern standards for inclusion. We have been so excited to see our students browsing the shelves, and finding books that meet their needs and interests. Feel free to call or make an appointment to stop by and see our great new books.

Our goal is for every student to graduate Fairfield High School with the tools they need to succeed on their chosen path.
