MEET THE GOVERNING BOARD
Ana Petero was elected to the Board on November 3, 2020. Ana is originally from Fiji, immigrated to the United States in 1976, is a resident of Fairfield for over 20 years, mother of five, and grandmother of five. Ana’s passion for, and commitment to education stems from having come from a long line of teachers. Ana is a Communication Studies professor and former Speech and Debate coach at Solano Community College, where her husband also teaches. She believes that investing in education is investing in our retirement.
In addition to serving on the FSUSD Governing Board and teaching, Ana serves on the Solano Commission for Women and Girls, as well as the Solano County Master Plan on Aging, and is part of Fairfield’s “adopt-a-street” program, which is dedicated to beautifying and maintaining our community. Finally, Ana has been a volunteer Little League baseball umpire. Most importantly, she is committed to doing her best to serve the students of FSUSD, and, to the best of her ability, represent the community’s educational needs.
