Dan O. Root Elementary II Health & Wellness Academy

"Dan O. Root II Health and Wellness Academy is located in east Suisun City, California. Dan O. Root II opened its doors to 1,060 K-6 students on July 9, 1990. The school began as a year-round school following a 60-20 calendar. In August 2018, we switched to a K-8 school with Health & Wellness as our focus. Our school offers Learning Centers that are staffed by Special Education Teachers and Paraprofessionals; Speech/Language Therapy and Adaptive Physical Education (APE). We have a nurse and a psychologist as well. All of our students are taught by highly qualified, fully credentialed teachers. Grades K is 28:1, grades 1-3 are 30:1 and grades 4-8 are 32:1. Students have equal access to computers in their classrooms. Our library is staffed with a Library Media Technician, and a librarian visits once a week."
