New Assistant Principal Appointed
Mrs. Victoria Johnson joined the Fairfield Suisun Unified School District Certificated Team almost ten years ago, starting out as a first grade teacher at E. Ruth Sheldon Elementary School. She has taught kindergarten through second grade over the years at various sites, including: Anna Kyle Elementary School, Cordelia Hills Elementary School and Suisun Elementary School. Victoria has been serving as a Teacher of Academic Support at Suisun Elementary School since July of 2017, where she has been able to provide outstanding mentorship and guidance to teachers..
Victoria began serving as the Interim Assistant Principal of Dover Academy for International Studies in January of this year, alongside of Ms. Amy Chavez. Ms. Chavez is excited to have Victoria on her administrative team and admires Victoria’s hard work and ability to step right in to support the children and staff at Dover!
The Principal of Suisun Elementary School, Ms. Ann Marie Neubert, who has been working with Mrs. Johnson since August of 2014 wrote in a letter of recommendation that:
“Mrs. Johnson is a passionate person who meets life with vigor and determination. She is committed to her students, colleagues, the school community, and the district. I know she will continue to grow and shine as an educator and leader.”
Mrs. Johnson attended California State University, Sacramento obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in History. She completed her teaching credential at Chapman University, and then later earned her Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis on Educational Leadership from Brandman University.
Amy’s fellow Fairfield-Suisun Management Association and Fairfield-Suisun Unified Teachers Association peers have stated only positive and assuring comments about her ability to serve as the Assistant Principal at Dover Academy for International Studies. The Fairfield-Suisun Management Association is confident in Mrs. Johnson and her abilities to do outstanding work. Congratulations Victoria!
