Technology Services Names Senior Database Administrator
Mr. Jianye Zheng, also known as “Jason” joined the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District’s Classified Management Team in April 2009. Jason began his career with us as a Programmer/Database Administrator and has been working gloriously in the position for nineteen years. To say that Jason has contributed to the district’s success with technology services with would be an understatement.
Jason has worked continuously to not only implement but to improve the district’s various databases and vital programs. He has been hands on with software, including Escape, the software that drives the workflow for both the Human Resources and Business Services department. Jason is also hands-on with Aeries, our software that holds all student data, as well as other softwares, including but not limited to Frontline (Absence Management), FSUSD’s Classroom Referral system, and the brand new Applicant Management System, in which Mr. Zheng developed from the ground up!
Chris Clark, Director of Technology Support Services states:
"Jason has been a tremendous employee for the district. I would call him a force multiplier; the programs that he writes save the district thousands of hours each year. TSS manages dozens of systems that together have thousands of data points. Amazingly, because of the work that Jason has done, each datapoint is only entered one time and then that data is shared amongst all the systems. Besides integrating systems, Jason has written quality web based applications that are used everyday in the district. Examples are the Classroom Referral System and the Applicant Management System. Jason is known for his calm demeanor and can do attitude."
It is without a doubt that Mr. Jianye Zheng is a treasured attribute to the Fairfield-Suisun Management Association, and the district as a whole. In his current role as the Database Administrator he has excelled and fulfilled his position with a great attitude and willingness to make sure our technology programs are running efficiently. We are convinced that Jason will continue to shine and most importantly his good work will continue to have a positive impact on our staff and students. Congratulations Jason!
