Exciting Changes Among Fairfield-Suisun Administrators

Fairfield, CA - The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Superintendent announced the official reassignment of several school administrators to new positions beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.

Longtime Angelo Rodriguez High School Principal Clarence Isadore was appointed to the position of Itinerant Administrator, filling in for administrators when absent and providing additional support on campuses throughout the district.  Isadore will continue to serve as President of the San Joaquin Athletic Section.

Taking the helm at Rodriguez will be current Green Valley Middle School Principal, Kristen Cherry. Cherry has served as an administrator for FSUSD for the past sixteen years, previously working as principal of Nelda Mundy Elementary. Joining Cherry at Rodriguez is current Crystal Middle School Assistant Principal, Joe Klapper. Klapper taught at Armijo High School and will return to the high school ranks next year as the assistant principal at Rodriguez.

Several District elementary schools will also see shifts.  Cordelia Hills Elementary Principal Steve Trotter will become the principal of Green Valley Middle School. Trotter has been at Cordelia Hills for the past six years. Principal Julie Reece will transition from Dan O. Root Health and Wellness Academy to lead Nelda Mundy, where she previously worked as an assistant principal.

Other administrators will relocate in the upcoming year.  Corie Barloggi will be joining E. Ruth Sheldon Academy as the assistant principal.  At her request, Sherry McCormick will continue in her administrative duties as an assistant principal at Anna Kyle Elementary.

Regarding the changes, District Superintendent Kris Corey said, “We pride ourselves on strong school leadership, and we are so excited to be able to see our leaders take on new roles and challenges.”

The changes become effective July 1, 2022.
