Fairfield - Armijo High School graduate and valedictorian Melissa Theodorus addressed her fellow Royals, recounting each student's unique journey on the path to this milestone. In her speech, Melissa reminded all in attendance, "It's important to be proud of who you are and where you come from." As pre-med bioengineering major at UC Berkeley, Theodorus hopes to conduct research and focus on cell and tissue engineering.

AHS Valedictorians Nicole Go, Ria Patel, Flora Wan, Faustina Wan, Melissa Theodorus lead the class of 2022 in their song, 'We Are Young' by Fun, Friday, June 10, 2022.

The Royals Class of 2022 graduated five valedictorians, including Theodorus. Nicole Go, Ria Patel, and sisters Faustina and Flora Wan each left compelling messages with their peers. These five high achievers were a part of a graduating class of 520 students who were lauded by friends, family, and Armijo High School staff for this academic achievement that Superintendent Kris Corey said embodied the "pride and spirit of those graduating from Armijo High School."

A warm, wind-brushed Friday morning did not stop families and friends of the graduates from filling the stands to cheer and take pictures of the smiling, waving graduates as they filed out onto the field to take their seats.

Two families took seats on the field to accept diplomas for family members who are no longer with us to celebrate their acheivement. Condolences were reshared with the Infante and Butler families. In her welcome address, Superintendent Corey stated, "Their sons Jommiel and Jarrel are here in spirit today, graduating with the rest of their classmates."

Charleston Brown, Armijo High School Principal, congratulates students as they await their turn to receive their diploma.

Principal Charleston Brown delivered his first graduation address since taking the helm at Armijo High School, and he couldn't be more proud. "This graduating class is resilient!" stated Brown. "They have endured more than most have in High School, and they keep smiling, keep pushing and stay the course to acheive their success and greatness!"
