On the heels of "springing forward" and losing an hour of sleep, the district is kicking of an 8-week Rest & Revive educational program. This program is intended to provide you with education, tools and resources for assessing and improving your sleep habits.
Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. Not only does getting enough sleep help the body grow muscle, repair tissue and synthesize hormones, research shows that after people sleep they better retain information and perform better on memory tests. It is recommended that people between the ages of 18 - 64 get between 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
Week 1 provides a workbook for tracking your sleep patterns, and other habits that affect sleep. Please see the attached documents for more information.
Tell us what you do to ensure you get good, restful sleep at night! Tweet (#SleepWell & @RiskMgr_FSUSD), post on the FSUSD "Just for the Health Of It" Facebook page (if you aren't already a member, request to follow), or shoot me an e-mail. Respondents will be entered to win a raffle prize!
