Graduating Students excited

Fairfield, CA - Staff, families, and loved ones gathered at Schaefer Stadium Thursday evening for the 54th Commencement Ceremony that would send 354 falcons soaring into their bright futures.

The graduating class of 2022 has much to celebrate. Students are committed to attending UC Schools, State Schools, and community colleges. Each of the four military branches will have falcons in its ranks. Sixty students have earned athletic and academic scholarships totaling $50,000. Many will enter the trades and local workforce ready to enrich the communities in which they live.

With so much to commemorate, the FHS Class of 2022 shared their gratitude for those that walked beside them on this four year journey.

“With one foot already out of the door,” on the way to the next step in life, one FHS Valedictorian, William Lipayon reflected on high school years and thanked FHS staff for teaching students during distance learning, parents for lovingly supporting and providing, and friends who stuck by one another through the worst and best of times.

“You have accomplished so much,” shared Alfredo Sandoval, student elected staff speaker, “yet this is only the end of one chapter of your life. It is the beginning of another.”

First-year FHS Principal Rebecca Dinwiddie urged graduates, “Always remember that under extraordinary circumstances, you accomplished a great deal. You are here earning a major milestone in your educational career because Falcons Soar.”
