Students on computers

FAIRFIELD, CA - Armijo High School hosted the Work-Ready! Certificate Program in March, providing over twenty hours of work-related instruction and support to twenty-two students. The program is designed to help students locate job opportunities, learn interview skills, and develop a resume.

The three-week workshop covered a wide range of topics, including time management, resume writing, job search and application cover letters, work ethic, customer service, teamwork, appropriate dress, interview techniques, and mock interviews. The workshop was coordinated by the Solano County Office of Education in partnership with local Chambers of Commerce and presented in school districts throughout Solano County.

The program was well-received by both students and faculty, with many participants praising the program for its practical focus and hands-on approach. The Work-Ready! Certificate Program is an excellent opportunity for students to gain essential job skills and increase their employability.

"We are thrilled to have hosted the Work-Ready! Certificate Program at Armijo High School," said Principal John McMorris. "The program provides our students with valuable skills and knowledge that will help them succeed in the workforce, and we look forward to continuing to support our students as they prepare for successful careers.”
