A group of people around an open food box

Fairfield, CA - For almost a decade, David Weir Preparatory Academy and The Father's House Church have joined hands to provide fresh and nutritious food to both the families and staff at David Weir Preparatory Academy.

Every Friday afternoon, a familiar sight unfolds as Bob Barnum who represents The Father's House Church arrives with a truck filled with an assortment of fresh food items. From fruits and vegetables to bread and snack food items, this invaluable service allows families and staff to access these resources and ensures that they have the nourishment they need for themselves and their loved ones.

Throughout these nine years, Bob Barnum has not only been a provider of sustenance but has also built strong connections with several families, staff members, and students at David Weir Preparatory Academy. Many of them volunteer each week to support the distribution efforts and ensure the campus is cleaned up after the food delivery.

This partnership extends beyond the regular weekly food distributions. During the holiday season, David Weir Preparatory Academy collects canned food to help the Father’s House stock its food pantry and donates books to support the church’s Bookmobile program.

The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District is immensely proud of this collaborative effort and hopes that it will continue to have a positive impact on the community for many more years to come.
