Group of Special Education kids doing community service

Fairfield, CA - Students from a Special Education class at Armijo High School recently came together for a meaningful community service event. On March 21st, the Functional Academics class participated in a litter pick-up organized by the school, focusing on cleaning up the school grounds.

During the event, students not only cleaned up their school but also learned about the importance of giving back to the community. Their enthusiasm and dedication were truly inspiring, and their efforts made a noticeable difference in the cleanliness of the street-facing side of Armijo.

Teacher Jacob Smith expressed his thoughts stating, "Activities like this showcase the great work happening in our schools every day and the dedication of our staff to fostering a sense of community and belonging for all students regardless of their abilities."

Events like these not only contribute to the betterment of the school environment but also serve as valuable learning experiences for students, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community. The hope is that other students will join in the efforts and continue to build pride in Armijo High School.
