Fairfield, CA -  The Fairfield-Suisun Adult School's English as a Second Language (ESL) Department and the Cultural Inclusion Club recently organized their annual field trip to a new destination. On May 2, 2024, ESL students and Cultural Inclusion Club members ventured to the San Francisco Exploratorium for a day of science, art, experiments, and collaboration.

The San Francisco Exploratorium is renowned for its interactive exhibits that inspire creativity and curiosity. The field trip provided an opportunity for students to engage with hands-on science activities, explore the intersection of art and technology, and collaborate with classmates in a stimulating environment.

Carl Ohaco, a member of the Cultural Inclusion Club, expressed his enthusiasm for the experience. "It was an excellent experience. I learned a lot of things and had a good time with my classmates and students from other classes," he said.

Blanca Calderon, an ESL student, shared her excitement about the field trip. "I had never been to the Exploratorium before, it was my first time. There were many machines that I had never thought of or imagined how they worked, I liked those a lot. It was a great experience," she explained.

The annual field trip is part of the ESL Department's commitment to providing students with unique learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. By visiting the Exploratorium, students can explore new concepts, broaden their horizons, and engage with peers in a fun and educational setting. The Fairfield-Suisun Adult School's ESL Department and the Cultural Inclusion Club plan to continue offering enriching experiences that foster learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
