Early College High School

What if by the time you graduated high school, you had earned both your high school diploma and a college degree? Prepare your student for academic success by applying to the Early College High School program (ECHS), a unique program opportunity that supports, motivates and builds students up, preparing them for life in college and beyond. ECHS allows students to earn college credits from Solano Community College while working towards their high school diploma. It is a special program offered under the umbrella of Rodriguez High School. Each year for 9th grade, the program accepts 100 students to participate by taking all of their high school classes and college classes concurrently on the Solano Community College campus. This exciting and developing program provides students with the tools needed for a chance to possibly earn a college degree by graduation.  Students selected to participate in ECHS will benefit from the following:  Self-directed learning Individualized learning and career plans College/career emphasis Academic support Opportunity to earn a high school diploma and transferable college units A bridge between high school and community college Minimum Requirements to enter Program:  Recommendation from current teachers  2.5 GPA (No grades below a C-)  Pattern of consistent attendance of responsible behavior
