The Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) of Solano will celebrate its 2026 graduates during a special ceremony recognizing parents who have completed an intensive leadership and advocacy training program. The program equips parents with the skills and knowledge to engage thoughtfully with schools, collaborate with community leaders, and advocate for policies and practices that support students and families.

The program is a partnership between FSUSD and the Children’s Network of Solano County. As part of the series, participants developed and presented capstone projects addressing real-world challenges affecting children, schools, and communities.

“When families are informed and empowered, our students thrive,” said Jennifer Sachs, FSUSD Superintendent. “PLTI strengthens the connection between home, school, and community by preparing parents to be effective advocates for their children’s education and well-being.”

“The program creates a space where parents can build confidence, sharpen their advocacy skills, and step into leadership roles,” said Holly Collins, FSUSD Coordinator of Parent & Family Engagement for Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District.

“PLTI continues to demonstrate the power of investing in parent leadership,” said Ronda Kogler, Executive Director of the Children’s Network of Solano County. “This year’s graduates have shown a strong commitment to learning, collaboration, and service, and we look forward to seeing how they continue to transform their ideas into action that benefits families across Solano County.”

The ceremony will include recognition of graduates, certificate presentations, and remarks from district leaders.
