Made by a student film crew, the video features staff voices and student connection
Fairfield, CA (May 16, 2025) — Fairfield High School (FHS) is proud to share the release of “I Believe in You,” a deeply heartfelt video created by the FHS Film Crew under the direction of Digital Video Production teacher Edward Fee. The video captures meaningful one-on-one moments between students and staff, as adults take time to look students in the eye and tell them why they believe in them.
The video opens with the words: “We teach, grade and plan—but sometimes the most powerful act is simply speaking from the heart. At Fairfield High, we show students they matter—not just through grades, but through lasting words.”
While the video has been in the works throughout the school year, its release comes just as Mr. Edward Fee—who has guided and mentored the students behind the camera—has been appointed by FSUSD’s Governing Board to step into a new role next school year as an Assistant Principal at Armijo High School.
“We are incredibly proud of this video and the work our students put into it,” said Fairfield High Principal, Rebecca Campion. “It captures what we stand for at Fairfield High—and it’s a beautiful reflection of our staff and how much they care about their students.”
Superintendent Jennifer Sachs added, “This video is a moving reminder of the power educators have to shape students’ lives—not just through academics, but through meaningful, personal connection—something we are proud to see across our district.”
Though the fact that Mr. Fee is leaving for another site is difficult for students and colleagues alike, the district and school are committed to finding the next exceptional Digital Video Production teacher who will continue to build on the program’s success.
The video concludes with a simple but powerful truth: “Because confidence doesn’t always come from a textbook. Sometimes, it starts with someone simply saying… I believe in you.”
