Fairfield, CA (September 11, 2025) - At last night’s meeting, the Governing Board for Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) took action to pursue a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy for Trustee Area #7. The appointee will serve the remaining term of Trustee Dr. Nikki Parr who has been appointed to serve as the Superintendent of Schools for the Solano County Office of Education, effective September 1, 2025.
The Board of Education invites members of the community in Area 7 to apply to fill this vacancy on the Governing Board. Beginning September 15, 2025, application packets will be available on the District’s home page at www.fsusd.org or at the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Central Office, 2490 Hilborn Road, Fairfield, CA, 94534, between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Completed applications must be received by the Superintendent’s Office by 4:30 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025. No late applications will be accepted.
Any registered voter within the Area 7 boundary is eligible to be a member of the Governing Board. Employees of FSUSD are not eligible to be a Board Member unless they resign from their employment position. A labeled map of the Trustee Areas can be accessed on the district’s website. To confirm whether you reside within the Area 7 boundaries of FSUSD, visit the Registrar of Voters website. Unless a petition calling for a special election is filed with the office of the County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment, the appointment shall become permanent.
