Interested in a career in healthcare but don’t know where to start? The Introduction to Healthcare program is designed to prepare students with basic medical vocabulary and skills. Students who graduate from this program are prepared to take specialized medical training programs at Fairfield-Suisun Adult School, including Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Sterile Processing. At this orientation, you will learn about the program requirements, application process, scholarships, and additional training opportunities.
Program Requirements:
At least 18 years old.
For Pre-Introduction to Healthcare, CASAS score must be above 217.
For Introduction to Healthcare CASAS score must be above 223.
Attend information sessions, registration and assessment meetings, and an in-person orientation session.
Commit to coming to class for 2.5 hours a day, 2 days a week for 17 weeks.
Commit to studying outside of class up to ten hours a week.
Projected Program Dates:
The program starts August 31, 2026, and ends December 17, 2026.
Classes are held in the afternoon from 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM, Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday depending on your level.
All classes will be held at Fairfield-Suisun Adult School.
