Honor roll distinction awarded to four schools, while Expanded Learning Principal Janerl Lampson receives Region 4 honors
Fairfield, CA (October 29, 2026) – Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) is celebrating two significant accomplishments that reflect its commitment to student success: four district schools have been named to the 2026 California Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll, the most of any school district in Solano County, and FSUSD Principal of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) Janerl Lampson has received a Region 4 award from the California Expanded Learning Leadership Awards.
“Every day, our educators work to ensure students have the support and opportunities they need to succeed,” said FSUSD Superintendent Jennifer Sachs. “Having four schools named to the California Honor Roll, and Principal Janerl Lampson’s leadership recognized, reflects the dedication of our staff, leaders and school communities to helping every student thrive.”
The Educational Results Partnership (ERP) is a non-profit that works with state business leaders representing Chambers of Commerce across the state. Closer to home, Lisa Bonnington, President & CEO for the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce shared: "Good education is an essential part of a thriving business community. Congratulations to the educators, parents, and supporters for all of these schools! It's quite an achievement, and we look forward to supporting FSUSD for years to come as they continue to nurture our next generation of business leaders."
Together, these honors recognize excellence across FSUSD, from strong school performance to leadership that expands learning opportunities for students. More details about each recognition is shared below.
Four FSUSD Schools Earn California Honor Roll Recognition
Angelo Rodriguez High School, Cordelia Hills Elementary School, K. I. Jones Elementary School, and Public Safety Academy have earned places on the 2026 California Honor Roll, announced by Educational Results Partnership on October 15th.
The annual recognition identifies high-performing public schools, districts, and charter schools based on student achievement and progress over time. The evaluation considers sustained academic performance across student populations and measurable progress in closing achievement gaps, particularly for historically underserved students.
This year, 2,080 California schools earned Honor Roll recognition, representing approximately 24% of schools statewide. FSUSD’s four honorees lead all Solano County school districts in the number of schools recognized.
Expanded Learning Principal Recognized for Leadership
FSUSD is also celebrating Janerl Lampson, Principal of ELO-P, who was named the Region 4 honoree at the 2026 California Expanded Learning Leadership Awards on October 21st. She is one of 11 regional honorees statewide. Region 4 is one of 11 regions in the state’s System of Support for Expanded Learning and includes Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Solano counties. The annual awards were hosted by the California Afterschool Network (CAN) in partnership with the California Department of Education’s Expanded Learning Division and the System of Support for Expanded Learning.
Lampson brings a student-centered approach to the district’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), designing experiences that complement classroom instruction and support students’ academic, social, and emotional development. Before entering expanded learning leadership, Lampson spent 12 years as a kindergarten teacher and served in district roles supporting new teachers and English Learner education initiatives. She began working in ELO-P in Bakersfield in 2024 and joined FSUSD in 2025 to lead the district’s program.
Her approach integrates academic enrichment, physical activity, mentorship, creativity, and meaningful connections. She also works to bring educators, families, and community partners together around a shared vision for student success. Lampson’s recognition underscores the importance of expanded learning programs in helping students discover new interests, strengthen relationships, build confidence, and explore possibilities beyond the traditional school day.
