Elected to the board from Area 4 (Central Fairfield) in 2018, Mr. Wilson retired from a 25-plus-year career as a teacher in 2016 after teaching in many positions including elementary school, middle school librarian and high school science.

From 2014-2019 he served on the board of "Music for our Children," a local advocacy group for public school music programs, and edited their newsletter and website.

Since retiring Mr. Wilson has been a substitute teacher in most local schools, including surrounding communities.  He says this helps keep him in touch with conditions and needs in schools.
